My name’s Kate and I’m a journalist working for The Siberian Times, an ultimate online news source about the Urals, Siberia and the Russian Far East. This winter together with The Siberian Times we created a project called Go East.
What is it? Go East is an ultimate journey around Siberia and the Russian Far East. 15000km, 13 cities, 3 month, and just one person, myself!
Why do we do it? We want to breakthe stereotypes that exist about Siberia. No it’s not just bears vodka and gulag. We want to tell you about the real Siberia, about the people who inhabit it and their life, about the beautiful places and interesting dishes, curious jobs and wild animals. In general we want to open Siberia to you.
